Privacy Policy for Milestone

Last updated: 12 August 2026

Milestone is built to keep your information on your device. This policy explains what that means in practice, and names the only two companies that ever see anything, both of which are involved solely so you can pay for a challenge.

The short version

What we store on your device

When you use Milestone, the app saves the following locally, in a database and file storage that belong to the app on your phone:

This information stays on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it. We cannot see it, recover it, or transfer it, because we never receive it.

Purchases

Milestone offers one-time purchases. Each challenge is bought on its own, and nothing renews. To make a purchase possible, two third parties are involved:

We do not receive your credit card number or payment details at any point.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, Milestone schedules them locally on your device. Reminder content is generated on the phone. We do not send push notifications from a server and we do not use a notification service that would receive your reminder content.

Photos

If you attach a photo to a day, the app reads the image you pick and stores a copy in the app's own storage on your device. Photos are not uploaded. If you choose to share a recap or progress image, that happens only when you tap share and use the standard iOS share sheet, and only with the destination you pick.

What we do not collect

Children

Milestone is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and post the new version at the same address. Material changes will be reflected before they take effect.
